Vegimation
Vegimation is our fun, interactive and educational healthy eating animation workshop that provides a creative opportunity to try new fruit and veg, eat healthily during the session and have a fun, positive experience with new foods.
Participants will make a character from fruit and veg, record their own voice and see their character brought to life, with an animated face, speaking their words. Experienced facilitators will work with the children and young people and encourage them to try new foods and eat as much fruit and veg as they wish during the session.

“Brilliant and amazing workshop and for my daughter Maria who has ASD and really bad anxiety to complete something after walking out and having a wobble is a big achievement for her, she usually won't go back in or struggles to complete anything and the people on the day was amazing with her."
Charlie, Meanwood Urban Farm
"It's nice and good to be part of the future!"

“Seeing the smiles on the childrens faces was priceless”
In the Beginning there was St Helens
Combining model making with animation, creative writing, photography and healthy eating, Vegimation made it’s debut as part of the 2016 ‘make it happen’ programme funded by Helena Housing in St Helens. Our workshop began with a huge bag of fruit and vegetables deposited on a table surrounded by confused looking children aged between 7
and 12.
What’s that?
Initially the children were very wary of trying something new but soon began eating food they’d never seen before, the workshops quickly ignited into life and the children busied themselves with the task of building their model. Next came the naming and story creation, photography and animation. Over 6 weeks and in 2 locations across St Helens we met over 40 participants who created and ate, from confusion to creation Vegimation had landed.
Following our initial pilots Vegimation is now available as a 3 hour workshop perfect for summer clubs and half term.

Healthy Holidays Leeds
Since 2017 Creative Frame have been providing Vegimation sessions to children from low income families in Leeds every summer and in recent years over the Easter and Christmas Holidays. To date we have made over 3000 Vegimations and each Vegimation represents a child who has attended one of our sessions, ate fruit and veg and got creative. We couldn't have done this without the support of our funders at Leeds Community Foundation who have consistenly supported us since our first Healthy Holidays application in 2019.
In 2025 we will be taking Vegimation out of Leeds and into Teeside which as some of the highest levels of deprivation in the country. Vegimation is a very simple idea that has gone on to support a huge amount of children and families and we look forward to seeing where it can go next.
