Mirfield Barge Trip

On Sunday 6th September, we have arranged a Man About Town canal boat trip. We have two boats booked, there are up to 19 places to fill. The trip will take place from:

Shepley Bridge Marina

Huddersfield Road

Mirfield WF14 9HR

The boats will set off at 10.30 am and the plan is to return to the Marina for 2.30 pm. There are toilets on both boats and tea and coffee is provided. There is the opportunity to take part in steering the boat and helping to open and close lock gates under the guidance of the Safe Anchor volunteers leading the trip. You will need to bring your own packed lunch for the trip.

Anyone interested please let us know asap and we can put you on the list. We may need to plan logistics for getting to Shepley Bridge. In the past people have driven there individually or we've done a spot of car sharing/ giving people lifts amongst ourselves. It can take around 30 - 45 minutes to drive to from Leeds.
