Massive thanks to the volunteers who supported the recent mental health networking event in Taylor Park, St Helens. The crew spent a full day, travelling from Leeds loading, unloading and setting up the PA system. The PA was funded through a Communittee Community Fund and has meant we can use the system to raise vital funds outside of grant income. The lads did a brilliant job!

On Sunday 6th September, we have arranged a Man About Town canal boat trip. We have two boats booked, there are up to 19 places to fill. The trip will take place from: Safe Anchor Trust Shepley Bridge Marina Huddersfield Road Mirfield WF14 9HR The boats will set off at 10.30 am and the plan is to return to the Marina for 2.30 pm. There are toilets on both boats and tea and coffee is provided. There is the opportunity to take part in steering the boat and helping to open

We'll be celebrating all things men and creativity at St Bartholomew's Church, Wortley on Saturday 12th September. There'll be music from the Man About Town Group, poetry, art and photography display and films all made by men from and around LS12. The Man About Town music group is our weekly session for men who are isolated and at risk of suicide. As ever with all our men's groups we make it clear that the groups are for the benefit of men, not at the exclusion of women and this for mat has worked well for over 6 years now.
